Kurdish environment activist Ezir Alliasi arrested in Mehabad

Kurdistan Media: Iran’s Intelligence Service arrested the Kurdish environment activist Ezir Alliasi five days ago in the Kurdish city of Mehabad after interrogating. According to different human rights organization Alliasi was put in solitary confinement in the prison of Urmye after two days of interrogation.
Alliasi is believed to be moved to the notorious Avin prison today. Officially Alliasi haven’t been charged with any crime. Alliasi is 53-years old and is a well-known environment activist in Mehabad, he has turned his home into a place for training activists and spreading information about how to protect the environment. Alliasis 24-year-old nephew, Shehram Blori, was arrested six months ago under the same circumstances. Blori was charged of separatism and being in contact with different radio stations outside of Iran. Shehram’s 48-year-old mother Shahnaz have also been interrogated several times by the Itlaat because she has financially supported poor families of imprisoned Kurdish activists. 2009-12-17
